General Nutrition and Weight

Nutrition is very important to our health and overall wellbeing. It is useful to understand what nutrients our bodies need, which nutrients should normally be consumed daily, and which nutrients our bodies can store thus supporting non-daily consumption. Oxidation, that is the burning of food-based fuel for energy is also a consideration.

Vitamins are classified as water-soluble and fat-soluble.

Water soluble are those which the body does not store and should be taken in every day. These include Vitamin C, and the various B-Vitamins .

Fat soluble are those which the body can store and need not be taken in daily if an amount in excess of what the body needs is taken in on a regular basis as the body will use the stored Vitamin if needed and not taken in on a given day. These include Vitamins A, D, E, and K.
