Spiritual Warfare From Conception to the Grave

Spiritual Warfare

I am a Christian Minister. I believe in God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

Religions/faiths other than Christianity (e.g., Judaism, Islam, individual beliefs, etc.) believe in God. But Christianity is superior to all of them because of the role of the biblical Jesus as the one and only Messiah/Saviour of the soul in giving his life for human sins.

I believe the Son Jesus is the Messiah/Saviour who is the greatest hope for humankind in that he paid the penalty for the believer’s (black, white, all races) sins according to God’s plan of salvation. Out of appreciation for God’s love especially in giving his only begotten son (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:7), I strive to live a repentant life in obedience to his Word, Will, and Way. I fail sometimes but I get up and keep pressing on (1 John 1:9; Philippians 3:13-14).

In math we learned that if A=B and B=C then it follows that A=C. So if Yeshua(Hebrew) = Iesous (Greek) and lesous = Jesus (English), then it follows that Yeshua = Jesus. It is a satanic distraction from biblical unity to argue over his name especially since he has many names (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6). In fact, those who question use of the word Jesus can’t seem to agree on the Hebrew rendering of the name. They variously use the names Yoshua or Yahushua or  or Yahshu or Yashua, or Yeshua, or Yahowashy, etc. So let us not get caught up in such matters any longer.

In Arab language Jesus is known by at least two names:  Yasu and Isa or Esa.

From the moment of conception by our fathers and mothers every human being is involved in a spiritual battle for life and life abundantly (John 10:10;). This applies to us on both sides of the grave.

Satan, the devil, uses various schemes and people who bow down to him with the goal of getting humans to reject the realness of God and the realness of his word as presented in the holy bible.

As Ephesians 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

This began in Genesis 3 and continues even unto this day. This applies to all descendants of Adam and Eve; all humans without exception are their descendants. So it applies to people of all races and nationalities.

The punishment of Adam and Eve is inherited by their descendants to this day and shall be until the second coming of Jesus. Yes, the child bearing difficulty yet exists. Yes, the struggle for headship between male and female yet exists. Yes, the thorns and thistles, and sweat of the face yet exists. These contribute to the intensity of the spiritual battle to include the presence of things like white racism and black racism.

Hebrews 12:3 says in speaking of Jesus: “For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”

Sinful human beings are filled with contradictions that cause much confusion and conflict in this world.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

Contradictory humans sometimes differ on what commandments God expects a given person to obey in a given generation. That too is part of the spiritual battle.

My current summary of some of the things I and people of all races should do in fighting this spiritual battle may be found in my article at the link below:
